Thankful Rumpy Bump

We are joining Brian's Home for their Thankful Thursday Blog Hop.

I have been having a time of it. Dad you tell them alright.
My meow is all scratchy and congested.

Hi, Dad here. My white warrior has had a very bad time with his asthma. He is usually very mellow while at the vet so yesterday I was surprised he tried to bite Dr Lane when she tried to look in his mouth. He would not let me open his mouth either. We are pretty sure it is a broken tooth but then he would not relax enough for an xray which again is not his normal. He generally is gone for 10 minutes, they have a scan and everyone is saying what a good boy he is. He would not even let them trim his nails. We are on a 10 day course of antibiotics with steroids daily on top. Hope to get him a bit better so he can have an xray to determine if he can have his dental.
Please send our court jester purrs and prayers so he is back to better really soon.

So am I thankful for the V. E. T. Not exactly. I am thankful
for having a Dad who cares enough to keep working to keep me well. Even when I have been such a bugger

Sunday Selfie: Buddy's Message

Visit our friends at The Cat on My Head to see all our
 friends great Selfies!

Yo dere ma frenz! Buddy Budd here tellin ya ah hadda tuff Frydayz. Tell em Dad

Buddy has been doing really great all year so it was a shock when last weekend he cut his eating in half and was very lethargic. I took him to the vet Friday and they wanted to keep him for an x-ray and fluids. Imagine my surprise when I got home and the vet called and said I could come and pick him up. I zoomed back and the doctor said his kidney values are a little off but his x-rays were fine so he would be better off at home. I will be giving him a little fluids 2-3 times a week and we shall see. He seems better so I am a happy Dad.

We would appreciate purrs and prayers

Now da impawtent stuffz

Buddy's Sunday Selfie

Hello dere mah furens. Ah back frum dat ol'vet and ah feeling betteh fur-sure. Ah let mah Dad tell ya.

First I want to acknowledge all the support we have received. This is an amazing community that gives freely to those need. We are proud to be a part of it, again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
Update: Buddy's ultrasound showed that his pancreas is swollen and nodular when it should be smooth. It is mostly very dark but has lighter areas. He has thickening of the mesentery (connective tissue,) around his intestine and swollen lymph nodes. The vet was not positive but thinks cancer.

The next step would have been to get a biopsy. This would be a major surgery as there is so much involvement. If during the exploratory they found cancer it would be difficult to remove.

We have decided on conservative treatment. Buddy is very, very difficult to medicate. If he will not eat one of my treat coated pills there will be blood, lots of it, mine. He was given Covenia a long acting antibiotic and a long acting steroid Depo-Mederol.

Hey Dad'z yoo sayed e-nuff ok. Whew dat man-human can gab.
So ya got da medical stuffs. Main ting is dat ah feeling gud, gud, gud. Ah eatin lotz more den ah have bin an ah enjoyin life. Dat most impawtent.

That was Really Sneaky Dad

Oh My Cat!
Furst we have exciting Mews!
We were featured on Funny Farmer Friday!
Check us out! Whee!

Now on to the post of our pain!

You would not believe what happened yesterday.
So Dad is off work and we are all happy getting a nice play time in the morning. And then...

the lady who brings out the hose monster came and, funny thing, she started bringing up those little plastic cells.

Buddy Something is up. I want no part of it.
You should join me *UTC.

Yoo silly Timmerz. Ah bin fine and....
*Scoop Gotcha Buddy*

*Scoop Gotcha Rumpy*

Oh my. Buddy and Rumpy are in the plastic cells!
I will join you *UTC Timmy. Miss Fitz how about it?

Count me in Buttons!

You all are scaredy Cats. Hey Dad has Treats in
the Bedroom! Lets go!

Einstein: Gangway here I come Toby
*Cue ominous music as the bedroom door closes*

Well let me tell you. Buddy, Rumpy, Toby and Einstein may have been rounded up but me Fitz and Buttons put up a valiant effort to avoid capture. In the end all was for naught. We whispered through the walls of our cells.
Buttons: What is all this then?
Einstein: HSSSSSSSS!
Fitz: I think it is the place we hate
Timmy: The Stabby Place
Einstein: FFFFFTTT! HSSSSSSS!

We all sang the song of our people in chorus as we went the Stabby Place. The lady was laughing at our singing. I have to remember to hairball her pocketbook next time she come. I have to admit is was over quickly and then we were home. Whew, what an ordeal.

Um, Rumpers whut in Cod's Name happened ta yoo...
Oh yea dat righter...

Well at least this time they left me some cover.
You can hardly tell but I bet it will be much easier to clean up.
Yoo meanz when da Dad cleaner ya bu...
OK Buddy we all know I need help with that. I do get
treats when I walk into the human litter room. So there.

At least it was over quickly. Rumpy got his trim and asthma meds. Buddy and Fitz had good ear cleanings and feel better. Dad told us we got the three year rabies vaccine so no visits for a long time unless we need them. Yay! We all needed a nice nap after that.

What do you do when you have to go to the Stabby Place?

Speaking of that place our furend Marmalade was just rushed to the kitty hospital.

We all want to send purrs and prayers to our Texas pal. He had a crystal blockage and we hope he is home soon.
