Buddy Budd needs your Support

Our Buddy needs Purrs and Prayers Please!
The Story so far:
Last year Buddy was diagnosed with Hyperthyroid and started on medication which brought it under control very quickly. Then mid-Jan he started eating less. Dad coaxed him with treats and fancy feast which worked for awhile. Then he really stopped eating so Dad started a course of Mirtazepine.
Dad looked it up online and saw a lot of negative info on the doses that Vets would give in their Rx's. Other cat parents suggested a 1/8 tab (Tab = 15mg) dose. Buddy is super hard to pill so Dad used a syringe with the bit of pill (very hard to handle because it was so little) and warm water. After an epic struggle (Buddy is STILL very strong) and some blood loss (Dads) he got the dose.
He was ready to eat in 10 min so we were all happy. Next over 2 weeks it stopped working. Dad upped the dose, no side effects, but, less appetite.
Dad was worried about kidney failure so off to the vet yesterday for blood work, Dad also asked that they give him a dose of Mirtazepine and take an x-ray to make sure there was nothing growing or a blockage anywhere.
Buddy came home (Dads friend took him as Dad works) and 15 min later the vet called.
She said his labs show good thyroid numbers and a healthy kidney profile, BUT, Pancreatitis
They want him back tomorrow for an ultrasound and "Medical support" so he will stay there a few days. Dad is sick with worry. Buddy has been coming in to sleep with Dad purring away as he lays on him so he is still enjoying life. Please send purrs and prayers
