You have all been outside in the Cat Yard for two years and this is the first. Please make it the LAST! The mice are fine but *Dad gets bird* Wait. This fellow is ramrod stiff! Did you Catch this or Find this?
Um, found it I guess.
So cats, birds do fly into walls and get hurt so you are off the hook but Don't Bring them Inside.

I was really surprised when I saw the bird as we have never had one caught before and they stay out of the yard. It was a relief to know Fitz did not catch it. The crew are all a bit older and slow except for Einie who prefers a ground based chase
Thankfully it is still Birds 1 Cat Family 0

I am so sorry to say that my dear girlfriend Giulietta from The Cat on My Head went to the Bridge on Sunday. I knew she was not feeling tip top but this is such a shock. She was such an independent and tough lady cat.

1. I plan to Try to be good these last few days of August. I don't know what has been going on. Dad says I better work extra hard or I will go to the Time out room. Rumpy Bump

2. I am a Ham Connoisseur. I prefer smoked premium but will settle in a fix. Miss Fitz.

3. Staying Cool is proving difficult these days. I have thick Floof so keep inside with the AC. Einstein

4. Have I ever told you about the time that I Ran from the couch to my cabinet above the counter and back in 5 seconds? None of the others have even approached my speed. Toby

No Fits, No Fitz! This is the Pits

We are joining 15 and Meowing and Four-Legged Furballs for Friendly Fill-Ins. We love to learn a little bit about all of you and hope you feel the same about us.
Dad is doing 1 & 2 while I do 3 & 4.

1. I never thought I would Fly until The day I actually did. The first lesson there was wind shear where the plane went totally upside down only 500 feet over the ground. The instructor said she didn't know how we lived but she did save us both. I never went up again

2. A Calm and Unfettered Mind is the Secret to Happiness. When I was young I was tortured by my mind and always being anxious about all social interactions. I started meditating and read all I could find about the practice. It took years but along the journey that "bad head" went away, Yes, I still have a touch of crazy pants in my head but it is a thousand percent better. Try to Meditate friends!

3. I’m happy to announce that Rumpy has a good heart even if he is a bugger. We all agree he has really stepped up to help Dad since Timmy left us

4. The Cat Yard is like a second home to me. Yes, it's all "Home" but being outside puts me in a really good mood. I am a cat after all. We should all have walks or Catios!

Friday with Fitz: Sorry Dad

I wanted to look cute while I explain how I had Dad going crazy. It was Monday and for some reason I wasn't hungry. I licked a bit of breakfast and then was off through the cat door. There were Boomers in the afternoon with big winds but, strangely, no rain. Anymeow, I was not at dinner and then I was not around for treats on the couch. Sometimes I sit where you can't see from the window so Dad went outside into the cat yard and got worried, scared even, when he saw a BIG branch had blown down and was up against the cat fence. It was 4" around and 15' long pushing the fence down and leaning over it at a pretty shallow angle. Dad thought "Fitz could go right over that if she wanted" and was really worried. He did get it down and then called my name over and over and over and went as far as his electric wheelchair could go. No Fitz. He kept thinking of our dear friend Sawyer who is missing. He sat back down and was planning to put out the camera and our traps with food when... it started raining pretty hard. Of course I ran in and hopped onto the couch, wet, to say hello, like nothing was wrong. How did I know? Sorry Dad!
Later he found the door to the secret room was open a crack. I zip in there if I have a chance due to mousie history. Dad thinks I was in there all day. I'm not saying!

1. I just can’t bring myself to Stop whapping. Come on its fun. Try it and see!

2. I have a hankering for Ham. Dad has been really good with a daily ration.

3. Having a Home changed my life. There is nothing like being loved and having a home. We always purr for those who live on the streets. I know. That's where I came from.

4. At this stage of my life, I am not slowing down a bit. Life is fun and I have it so nice. I hope you all have it that way too!

Dad here. Miss Fitz gave me such a scare we redouble our Prayers and Purrs for Sawyer and The Kitties Blue

1. I am overdue to Get a new leg. My prosthetic is pretty old but I keep putting it off. I need to get in gear.

2. I am so sick of The Crap in our once great Country. Everyone is entitled and feels that they are owed something. What happened to working for what you have. I did!

3. Raw Scrapple is a strange snack I like to eat. Scrapple is actually fully cooked when it is made. Scrapple out of the package on nice rye bread is a delight

4. A Chinese Longboat carved out of Buffalo Horn is one of the most random things I own. My Dad brought this and some other things back from Asia after the war. I love and treasure it.
