Timmy is Thankful for Routine

Hi friends we are really thankful to have you visit this week and, in fact, your coming is part of our Thankful this week, which is Routine. We cats are not fond of change of any sort so having Routine is something that makes us happy. We have breakfast at the same time everyday. We play a bit afterwards and then nap. At about 3 I check on Dad and, wherever he is, I give him a poke. Yep, I go right up behind him and give him the old paw poke. I need to remind him it is time to do chores so he has dinner ready on time. Then it is nap and couch time before reading in bed. We all have our routine spots to sleep, well, for the most part. Do you follow a routine at your house?

We were thankful to be one of 5 First Commenters for Teaser Tuesday. Hope to see you there next week

We are joining Brian's Thankful Thursday Blog Hop. We are looking forward to see your Thankfuls too

  1. Ah, yes routine!!
Hubby is not one for that as much as I am...LOL! The pups seem to thrive on it, as did our kitties. They need to know what to expect, right??!

It was fun to join you and the others in jamming the doorway to be a firstie!

  2. My human doesn't have a specific routine for me, so she tries to create mini-routines, like doing things with me a certain way, even though we don't do those things at a consistent time of day. But yeah, routines are really important.

  3. I like my routines so I know what I am doing and when. Routine is good.

  4. Oh, we most definitely have our routines around here, Timmy. In fact, one of our upcoming posts (if dad ever finishes it!) is about that very topic. I think our most recent move has really thrown me off kilter because I'm still not settle at night. I keep waking mom and dad (more mom, though) and they get mad at me for making so much noise throughout the night.

  5. We have a routine here for sure and I am definitely into my own routine. I nap certain times, I ask to go out certain times, and I DEMAND Mom and Dad go to bed at night at a certain time! Mom calls me "Colonel Klink" which some of you might remember from Hogans' Heroes. HAHAHA

  6. Dogs love routine too. We have a pretty basic routine around here, but the actual times can be a bit different every day.

  8. Yu. I have a routine too. I get up...have breakfast, check on everything to make sure it's all there...watch mom do what she's doing right now in MY room!!! and then, nap. She'll ask me if I want a treat here in a few minutes and I'll get up for that. Then, play a few minutes..and another nap. She usually head out after thankfully getting dressed *whew* and is gone quite a while. But she comes back and we talk over what happened. And a nap for me. I sit at the entry of the hallway showing her it's time for bed. I have my duties.

  9. We like routines too, though with the biped working from home until further notice, her routine is a bit TOO routine! :-D

  12. Our Angel Little Bit had a routine and we followed it to the minute. She would also let us know when it was time to do whatever she was supposed to do. Precious memories. Yes routines are good and hubby and I have our routines too. It's a good thing.

Have a purrfect Thankful Thursday. My best to your dad. ♥

  14. Routines are good here, too, Timmy. We like them, because it means things are running smoothly and, most of the time, things are going well. When routine is disrupted, we know that some bad things are happening. Routine is fine with us.

  15. Hey, Timmy, we are ON THE SAME PAGE, my friend! Wake up, play around for a few minutes, meow for the petit dejeuner, meow if litter box is used so that mama will clean it, go upstairs and sleep. Up in afternoon to remind mama that dinnertime will arrive at 6 but pass a few moments in garden, if warm. Dinner at 6, go upstairs, sleep some more, then come down to watch a bit of TV and have small dentabites before bed. Ho hum. LOVE Routine. No rouutine = maybe travel. ARGGGGGGH!

  19. We do have a routine! And we are pretty insistent. Kozmo yells quite loudly and we back him up if anything does not happen when we think it should! That is the way that life should go-After all, Cats were once worshipped as gods! We are glad you have your Dad well trained! Have a marvellously happy day!

  20. Yes, we need routines too. In fact, Izzy has finally caught on about the upcoming time change and has started bugging Mom about an hour earlier for dinner! We don't want any surprises.

  22. June here and I definitely agree that a routine is impawtent! I have one, but am afraid my hu-mom and I are not in agreement about it at all. I'd like my breakfast at 4:30 am and she gets rather upset (a mild choice of word there) when I whap her head-hair at that time! However, I'm proud to say that I have for the most part trained her by now and she will, tho reluctantly and sometimes with grunts and groans, get up by 5:00 am to accommodate my
wants and needs. Cats wants and needs always come first in any household, don't you agree?

  23. It's a good thing that your dad has you to give him that paw poke and remind him to do his chores! What would he do without you?
