Toby's Selfie, Saint Francis & Blind Cat Rescue

It is the Friend of all Animals Saint Francis of Assisi's Day, and he has some pretty important words: A Cat purring on your lap is more Healing than any drug in the world as the vibrations you are receiving are of pure Love & Contentment.

We are joining The Cat on My Head Sunday Selfies Blog Hop.
Hope to see your Selfie too!

Meowing about St Francis we do hope you send some support to our friends at Blind Cat Rescue & Sanctuary. They give forever homes to cats who are Blind, have FeLV or FIV and were lost, discarded or headed to "that room" at a shelters. They have a great Raffle going on with Super Prizes! Please take a look.

  1. Never truer words, Toby, that is a fact. A great and quite official selfie too, quite the gentlecat!
Lots of purrs to all the felines at Blind Cat Rescue – they do excellent work, I guess things for them must be even tougher at the moment with the virus going on.

  2. The healing purrs thing made me miss my therapy cat work.

  3. You are so right, Toby. My boys helped me so much with their purr therapy the first time I was diagnosed with cancer, but I know they still watch over me.

  5. There is an old saying, “If you put a purring cat and a bunch of broken bones in the same room, the bones will heal.”

  7. That is some nice selfie Toby! I really like Blind Cat Rescue but they are sure hard to work with. I tired to get help for 2 blind kittens and they wouldn't even talk to us.

  9. Those little moustache-whiskers of yours are perfect, Toby. You look like a suave Victorian gentlecat.

And as someone who had a blind cat in the family, I can say that they are not a burden, but a joy. And they need people, so please consider adopting them.

  15. The link to the raffle isn't working, and I went to the website but couldn't find the raffle there either. I'd very much like to check it out, so I'll keep trying.
Even though Sweetie isn't blind, she's definitely deaf or mostly, and I adore her even more because of it! We'd adopt a blind cat in the future.

  19. Toby, you are a charmer. If, I wasn't smitten with your bro, Einstein, I may just drift your way.

This blind rescue sounds ideal. Kali had very restricted vision but could manage stairs from repetition. She was a careful girl.
