If you all will bear with me a moment I simply have to get to the bottom of something. Last night we all went in with Dad for his book time and our treat time. About halfway through I leaped up, caught my treat and realized there was no Rumpy. Then Dad noticed and started calling him. No Rumpy. No worries as sometimes he sneaks into the litter when no one is around, but... Still no Rumpy. Dad got up and looked all over the house. Nowhere! We started to worry he finally had a huge asthma attack and was dead under the couch. Nope not there. Dad was starting to get a little crazy. "Rumpy, Rumpy, where are you!" he called. Nada. Then he noticed something.

ReplyDeleteOh, Rumpy! And you look like you are not sorry at all.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you just fancied sleeping under the stars, Rumpy!
ReplyDeleteRumpy, you got taken by the Call of the Wild and could not resist! It is quite charming but stay safe and no squirrels! They can bite, scratch and then you will have to go to the v-e-t. Please stay safe! xoxo, Bibi & Meep
ReplyDeleteWouldn't Miss Fitz be jealous if you had got that pesky
ReplyDeleteskwerl? You look lovely inside, though. All that soft

Oh my goodness, that sounds like it was quite the scare!
ReplyDeleteRumpy, if that had been me here at my house, my mom would about had to have called 911 for herself, she'd be so worried! We shouldn't do that to our moms and dads.
ReplyDeleteYou are so naughty Rumpy! Don't do that again. XO
ReplyDeleteRumpy, I totally get it! I mean, I live in an apartment in a very dense part of a sizable city so I am an indoor-only kitty. But EVEN SO, and even after I have lived here for 16 years, I *STILL* find places to curl up that the Human does not know about. I scare her half to death sometimes! Heh heh. It's times like that that make life worth living, eh? Good job, Rumpy!
ReplyDeleteSometimes I have found a new hidey hole...that scares petcretary a bit, cause its mostly when I hear those dang medicine bottles opening...I get two pills every night and a third every second...I need to make her work to catch me, MOL!
ReplyDeleteDon't scare your Dad so much Rumpy, you should have at least meowed your whereabouts for him to know you were safe:)
Rumpy you shouldn't scare your Dad like that! Make sure that you are around for regular stuff like story and treat time - everybody missed you and because they love you they were so worried!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Teddy
Rumpy that is something Mau would have done. Before Dad put the cross bar on the cat door, he was doing some sneaking out. We are so happy you were found and that you were not dead under the couch. Excellent razzleberry. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, angel Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer
ReplyDeleteSuch anxiety when you can't find a kitty! Raven is expert at hiding, and being solid black makes her very hard to find. And she won't meow when we're calling her.
