He also had a bunch of candles. I think he got these black ones at a yard sale years ago. Anymeow he was fine. See our Henri mug? That is what we did to pass the time. |
Dad had Henri's second book on the table so we read it together in the dark. Let me tell you we were both laughing at his keen insight. Give it a read. Henri, le Chat Noir. Reflections on Human Folly from a Feline Philosopher |
It was nice to spend some quality time with Dad. We hope you are all well. By the way did you stop by my beau Toby's 12th Gotcha Day Party? It was real fun too. |

It looks like you had a nice peaceful time with your dad while the lights were out. I hope they weren't out for too long though.
ReplyDeleteMy human is completely unprepared for this type of thing. Ha.
ReplyDeleteMiss Fitz, I take it Dad has to turn on the flash lights. No thumbs on the kitty,
ReplyDeletealways aggravates Precious since she has to let me take the top off the food container.
Glad you all got along with good cat eye-sight.
I don't like it when the power goes off. Not one bit.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the Gotcha Day party yesterday.
Have a purrfect day and weekend. My best to your dad. 😎
We lose power about twice a year, Miss Fitz...usually storm damage.
ReplyDeleteHope your electric was brought back quickly, and that whomever hit that pole didn't get hurt too much.
Oh no! At least you guys are prepared and that your dad had you.
ReplyDeleteOur lights would go out so often the Dad finally got a whole house generator installed and it has been a blessing. Oh Henri, we love Henri!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good way to spend time in the dark. Our power went out last week and came back on in the middle of the night waking me up. I'm just glad it came back on!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read that one, looks good. Sorry about the power going out. That drives me crazy now that we no longer have a generator.
ReplyDeleteI was there Miss Fitz and while I asked for two things specifically, I sampled everything. XXX
ReplyDeleteCatzowey lights out means we kitties race around the house without Staff seeing us - Wish we could share our day 49 Lockdown Quarantine pic with ya - Me and SISTAH Grappa doing OK - training staff how to catnap properly!
ReplyDeleteHow nice you got some quality time with dad when the lights went out.
ReplyDeleteAt least you all found something FUN to do during the forced blackout!!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Teddy
We had a human drive into a light pole nearby recently, too, causing the same thing to happen. We're pretty well set, though, since we have our hurricane/tornado supplies kit handy always. Mom's used to setting out all the flashlights, candles, solar lights and matches and stuff. Gotta always be ready!
ReplyDeleteIt's not nice when that happens, but it sounds very cozy, Timmy😺Clean Pawkisses for a Happy Weekend. Stay Safe Healthy and Yourselfie🙏🐾😽💞

Your dad is prepared for anything, Miss Fitz.
ReplyDeleteGood thing it was not the dead of winter when you had no power...that would have been Brrr! We have a generator that goes on after 30 sec of no power...we hardly ever need it, but when we do it is a real blessing.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had lots of lights to help your Dad read to you:)
