Friday with Fitz: Does Not Compute

We now have a new Puter. Dad says the old one started acting out, not listening and doing what it shouldn't, lots like Rumpy.
So the box comes and next thing you know Dad was using fun words like "Son of a B*&%$", "G*% D@&#" and "Rumpy you will be punished for this!" Well the last part is my interpretation, but, you get the gist.

Dad said the new puter was "re-fur-bished" which HAS to be a good thing, right, but the extra video port was busted and it only had 1T instead of 2T. Come on, One Treat instead of Two won't fly people.
So Dad what happened?

Thanks Miss Fitz. I bought this on eBay from a big seller so I figured they would stand behind it. They were going to send a hard drive to swap out but since I had already started file transfer I wanted to see if there was another solution. They agreed to send us a 1T drive and new video card. I said that was excellent and will give them good feedback once this is totally resolved.
Take it away Fitz.

It was time to  upgrade our PaintShop and I now can Purr-Ject my Meow with Authority! We are now saddled with Win10 which is what is is, stupid. It seems they took three steps back but Dad says that is because of the dumbing down of hoomans and so many silly little devices floating around. There should only be Big Puters with Big Screens that show Cats in their Glory.
Have a supurr Furiday Friends!

  1. New confusers can be SO frustrating. Sorry you are having all those issues. I think I heard petcretary and pawppy using words similar to those of your Dad, Miss T[=Fitz, when we got the new confuser to replace our stolen one...

And sometimes when *she* uses the Elements 2o18 or Gimp, I hear lots of those words, MOL,MOL!

  2. Computers can be really annoying to deal with - I'm glad that's a human thing, not a kitty thing!

  3. Oh, trust me- I hear such words pouring from mom and (mostly) dad often. This poor machine is hobbling along and they've been discussing updating for some time now, but neither is much of a computer whiz and are having difficulty knowing exactly what they want. Not to mention trusting the words or advice of the pre-teen big blue & yellow store employees.

  4. We're glad the seller is stepping up and getting this resolved. Good luck to your dad as he sorts it all out and gets the new system set up.

  5. I am glad they will resolve the issue. Sometimes two hard drives can be a pain though. I bought an ssd drive that was too small for all my files so now I have two drives. When I want to save some things, like for my blog, I have to go through many more clicks to find the right folder.

  6. Not on windows 10 because my PC doesn't work with it. Until the PC dies, I will just
go with what I have. I really do not like technology, just the output when all goes
right! Thank goodness the kitties only have to wait for Dad to get the pictures and
stories out for us to see. The kitties can take a nap or snack in the meantime.

  17. Dealing with computers is a terrible ordeal. When even 'experts' learn the phrase "I don't know" before anything else about their subject, you know you're in trouble.
