ReplyDeleteThat Rachmaninoff prelude was one of the pieces our unfurbro-the-elder played at his senior piano recital (level 10), and for a competition, too. He won the trophy! He also played a Beethoven Sonata but not that one...and some Bach, too. Now he doesn't touch any piano anymore...so sad. We think he got burned out. Maybe in years to come he might try again...such a wasted talent. We hope if he has some rug-rats that he will let them learn this great instrument and the pipe-organ as well, he played that too.
Thanks for the tag, guys. I'm not sure of the rules - five things that make me happy and five songs? Give me a day to think on that. There are plenty of things that make me happy, and I love music, so I'll have to narrow the categories. But I'll be writing about them this week.
