Get Well Rudy

Hey Friends, if you log into our blog with other than a Google account you will no longer be able to after 01/11. If you subscribe by email you should be ok, but, we hope you will get a Google account if needed so you can still visit. Purrs.

Now on to the impawtent news.
Our Buddy Rudy needed some work on his luxating Patella. Seems he has been limping more of late and his Mom took him to see a specialist. They thought it may have been congenital problem but no matter as it would not get better on its own.

Our Pal Rudy can use some Purrs and Prayers

Join Us!

We will keep our purrs going until he is better and will keep you all updated on how he is doing.

Any suggestions on how to get him to eat after surgery, he is a picky fellow, and how best keep him being too active are appreciated.

Timmy Tomcat

  3. Ouchies for Rudy! Hope he heals up quick.....maybe if he gets some special treat to peak his interest in eating.....My Mom says they might try hand-feeding him some baby food. That works for me!

    Hugs, Sammy

  4. Poor Rudy i had the same op..ouch! i always found that an eggyolk on the top of their food was great for fussy foster bubs..also Nutrigel if they sell it in the US..is a appetite enhancer...poor little fella..i know exactly how he feels those slip sliding knees are no fun! but they do heal very well and quickly! so big purrs his way..and thanks for the birthday wishes for Dinnerminzt sweeties..it has been so nasty here in weather i have been otherwise occupied and it clean missed my mind..i am in the pooper house with her now :) Loves Fozziemum xxx

  5. The poor fellow. That looks ugly. He's in good hands, though. As for eating, the strongest smells I've found provide good stimulants. When my beasts aren't eating, I will feed even the poor foods, as long as they like and eat them. Then I can work their way back up to decent stuff.

If worse comes to worst, force-feeding by syringe often seems to get the interest moving again. Maybe it's just so they won't have to be force-fed! Recovery is a good food for cats who aren't eating; it provides concentrated nutrients that they have been missing when refusing to eat.

  10. Hmmm our comment got deleted. We'll try again. We're adding our purrs and rubs to everyone else's for Rudy's quick recovery. In the meantime, trying to tempt him to eat: try human tuna fish, cooked chicken morsels, clear broth (no sodium) or even milk or ice cream.

We'll be rooting for him! Maggie and Felix
