He will go back to Dr Stabby in 3 weeks for a repeat T4. Please keep the purrs and prayers coming for Buddy. I will worry about him till he starts putting some weight on.

I'm sending purrs Buddy's way! Awesome that the pills can be hidden in treats - my human wishes that worked with Binga when she had to dose her!

My Tungsten had hyperthyroidism, and we were able to control it. Buddy's future looks good with his medicine. If it comes to the point where he won't take pills, you can try the ointment that is rubbed in the inside of the ear. What treats are you using on Buddy? Pill Pockets?

Taking pills is never fun, is it? We get a lot of those around here, and Lita always fusses and spits them out! She won't eat many treats, so we haven't tried them in the Greenies pill pockets. Carmine is so good about taking his pills that he doesn't need a treat to eat them in - but he DOES get a treat after he takes his pills. :)

Thank you so so soooo much for donating to Carmine's ultrasound!! We are going to post an update about him on the blog today. Without your help, we could not have gotten the test, and there would still be so many unanswered questions. We are so thankful to have you as friends. <3

We will purr for you. The Mom totally understands the weight loss worries!

Purrs,
Carmine and Milita and Mom Sierra

Hi Buddy......you know I take those pills too but treats didn't work for me - Mom gives me mine crushed up in turkey baby food! YUM. Anyway, was gonna say that I lost a lot of weight too and still am down a few ounces every time I go to the vet for a checkup - so I hope you can gain some weight back - I've not been able to! This thyroid thing is for the BURDS!

Love, Sammy

oh my, such a worry when a fur kid loses weight, even while still eating. Hope this gets Buddy Bud settled and feeling on top of the world, well...at least on top of the closest cat tree. Tasha, a kitty before Sage and I, had hyper thyroid and once the pills are balanced she was fine until she started having blood pressure issues (mind you she was about 12-13 and lived to 17). So be sure to keep an eye on blood pressure too
